The Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation raises funds to help create a home-like atmosphere for the residents and patients who call the Queen’s Park Care Center or William Rudd House, home.
For nearly 30 years the Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation has been raising funds to help create a more home-like atmosphere for the long-term care residents of the Center.
Growing and expanding over time, the Center is now more like a small campus and the health practice is multi-disciplinary in nature. For instance, the Center supports various populations. These include over 160 adults living in residence and ranging in age from 19 to 90yrs. A patient population of about 100,who benefit during their shorter term stays from an outstanding rehabilitation program, where, for instance, a patient can receive expert stroke recovery care.
Another group of benefactors are the many elder adults who visit the Center twice weekly for the adult daycare program or, as overnight guests at the “Respite Hotel.” The “Hotel” and the Adult daycare program help meet the growing need of both elders and their immediate family members who act as care givers for them.
The Foundation aims to meet the needs of all the varied groups at the Center. Join with us to provide the funds for a host of items from equipment purchases to the smallest of things that lend comfort, joy, and a sense of well-being.
