Garth Evans, Secretary
Garth Evans is a partner with Barbeau Evans LLP, a Vancouver-based law firm that specializes in business and real estate law, intellectual property and estate planning. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (1971) and an LL.B. (1974) from the University of British Columbia. Garth has a long record of community service with many not-for-profit organizations, including:

In 2005, Garth was elected as a Councillor for the City of Burnaby, where he served until 2008. Honours held include the Canadian Medal of Bravery (1981) and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for Community Service (2012).

Mike McGreer, Director-at-Large
Mike McGreer is Assistant Director with the BC Dental Association (BCDA) where he is responsible for a combination of project management across business units, operations and government relations. Prior to BCDA, he worked with the City of Surrey, Vancouver Economic Commission and the BC Ministry of Environment. Outside of work, Mike volunteers with the City of New Westminster’s Economic Advisory Committee, SFU Beedie School of Business Alumni Engagement Task Force and the Paul Thomas Society. He holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University, and lives with his young family in downtown New Westminster.

Jason Lesage, Executive Director
With over 15 years of leadership experience in communications, public relations and public affairs, Jason Lesage has held positions with not-for-profit organizations, government and the private sector. Prior to joining the Queen’s Park Healthcare Foundation, he worked with LifeSciences BC, the provincial industry association representing the biotechnology and healthcare research sectors. Jason has also worked with Mitacs, a leading national, not-for-profit organization that designs and delivers research and training programs in Canada, as well as the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and the Government Caucus of British Columbia.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria, as well as a Certificate in Public Relations and a Certificate in Planning, Techniques and Foundations in Public Participation. He is an active volunteer in the community and has devoted many hours to organizations such as the Royal City Farmers Market, Wildlife Rescue Association of British Columbia and the Massey Victory Heights Residents’ Association.
